  • Nothing says Winter in Ontario quite like a sleigh ride in the country. From mid-November to mid-March (weather permitting), Thomson Carriage & Sleigh Rides offers afternoon, evening and weekend sleigh rides by appointment. Call to book your time 519-271-9100.
  • CBC Celebrity Reading of Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” Featuring CBC Radio Personality Barbara Budd and Celebrity Readers:
    Scott Wentworth, Marion Adler, Lally Cadeau, and Rod Beattie
    with Sandra Mogensen leading the St. James’ Anglican Church Choir
    and The Bells of St. James, played by Chimers Peter Ryde and Michel Allard
    Sunday, November 29th, at 4:00 pm St. James’ Anglican Church Tickets are $15 from MacLeods Scottish Shops at 80 Ontario Street (kids under 12 with an adult get in free)
    Proceeds go to The Rotary Respite House and St. James’ Community Food Bank. Please bring a non-perishable food item, and additional donations will be welcome.
  • Santa’s Parade of Lights is the place to be on November 29, 2009 from 4:30pm - 7pm. It’s the official tree-lighting ceremony, the Santa Claus Parade and the Parade of Lights to City Hall. Refreshments to follow. Do not miss it! Downtown Stratford.
  • Christmas at McCully’s Hill Farm
    December 12 & 13, 2009 11am-3pm
    Horsedrawn Sleigh Rides (or wagon rides),visit with farm animals in the barn, live music, sampling, visit with Santa, hot  chocolate or cider, snacks and food for sale.
    12-2pm: Photo with Santa with LAF’S photography (photo will return by the 18th).
    Adults: $6:00       Seniors: $6:00     Children: $6:00   2& under Free
  • The Olympic Torch Relay Celebration

    The Olympic Torch will be making it’s way through Stratford on Sunday December 27th. Details to follow.
